About the paper mill
Founded in 1871, the Munken paper mill has long maintained a close relationship with the rugged, beautiful natural environment of Sweden's west coast. It's one of the most eco-friendly paper mills in the world, and its paper is a globally beloved premium product.

Munken Pure is a modern paper that feels soft yet retains the texture of pulp. Thick and softly off-white, it shows minimal bleed-through and pairs best with water-based gel pens. This particular production batch tested especially well for fountain pen compatibility.
Please note: fountain pen suitability can vary by production batch — not all Munken paper performs the same way, so it's worth checking each batch's results. Minor variation between batches is a natural, unavoidable part of papermaking and is not considered a defect as long as it meets the mill's standards.
For customer confidence, Troll's Paper provides a characteristics and hand-writing test report for every production batch of our signature paper line. These results reflect our own internal testing standards for writing feel.

United States Shipping
We offer free standard shipping on U.S. orders over $55.
For orders under $55, a flat $7 USD shipping fee applies.

If you choose “Hold until $55 reached” at checkout, we will keep your order on hold and wait to ship it until your combined held orders reach $55 USD (our free shipping threshold)
There is no extra fee for holding orders.

Canada Shipping
Free shipping on orders over $120 USD (Canada only).
Orders under $120 will be charged shipping at checkout.
Shipping rates are based on package weight and are calculated in real time at checkout. Starting June 13, 2025, we’re covering 10% of the shipping cost to Canada—this discount is already reflected in the rates shown at the checkout.
Please note: Canadian customers are responsible for any applicable duties, taxes, or import fees.
Canada Shipping Tip:
UPS often charges a high brokerage fee. We strongly recommend choosing USPS First-Class —while it may take a bit longer to arrive, it typically avoids those extra fees.
If you prefer UPS, you can usually pay duties on your own to bypass the brokerage fee.
